Backlinks are the secret sauce of SEO. Getting your first 100 quality backlinks might seem difficult, but I've got some tips to make it easier.

Backlinks are digital endorsements, they tell search engines your content is: valuable, trustworthy, & authoritative by showing search engines that other sites find the content on your domain worth linking to.

The result? Better rankings and more organic traffic 📈

🎯 Quality Over Quantity

Not all backlinks are created equal though focus on:

  • Relevant sites for your niche

  • Authoritative domains (domains with a high DA)

  • Natural, organic links (i.e. don’t spam comment sections with your domain - no one likes this and Google doesn’t either)

  1. Create Stellar Content: Craft helpful blog posts, infographics, or videos that other sites find helpful to link to. (Free tools are great for this!)

  2. Guest Blogging: Pitch unique content to relevant blogs in your niche and have the post link back to your domain.

  3. Leverage Directories: List your startup to many directories such as ProductHunt, or use my service Submit Juice to help with this. It gets you listed on 100+ top-tier directories and blogs, kickstarting your backlink profile.

  4. Build Relationships: Use tools like Passionfroot to partner with industry influencers and collaborate on projects.

  5. Use HARO (Help a Reporter Out): To get quoted in articles with backlinks.
